If you love some good powerhouse vocals, then this is a treat for you!

Back in October 2015 Taeyeon released her first solo EP, something fans have been waiting for for a really long time! If you aren't familiar with Taeyeon, she's best known as the leader and member of arguably the most popular K-Pop girl group Girls' Generation (otherwise known as SNSD). I absolutely love the album, it's really great but U R was a track that really stood out to me.

U R is a really beautiful song, it has blown me away every time I've listened to it (which is a lot of times). Taeyeon delivers some of her most powerful vocals to date, and as I listen it gives me chills every single time. The song gradually builds, so subtly and smoothly. It shows how broad her vocal range is, and shows that she's much more than just a pretty face, this girl has some serious talent! She's one of K-Pop's best vocalists and I'm so glad this track made it on to the album, it's just sad that not a lot of people will hear it as it's not a main single, and she hasn't performed it live many times. :(

The lyrics are super cute, about having the special people who bring light into your life during its darkest times. One of my favourite parts is "You are like a light, after the rain has passed." It's a lyric that we can all relate to, and it provides an uplifting feeling to the song. What makes this even cuter is that this song is rumoured to be about her fellow Girl's Generation bandmates, adorable!!!

U R is seriously a treat for your ears, even though it's in a different language it still feels so powerful and emotional, which I think is really impressive! I'm not gonna be skipping this one for a long time...
