Tattoo;
As a massive Hunter Hayes fan, I follow this guy on most forms of social media and for the last month, all he has been posting about is his new album Storyline, which, you'd imagine, i'd have already bought and listened too a thousand times over... However it hasn't been released in the UK yet and I don't know when it will be released... #awkward. Nonetheless, of course I have given it a listen and as a subscriber to his YouTube Channel, I have watched his most additions to his 'For the Love of Music' series to hear about one of the songs on the album called Tattoo.
It provides everything I look for in a feel-good country song... A catchy riff on a stringed acoustic instrument (I think this one is some sort of a mandolin? If not, think of that sound!) with a quick and dance-like rhythm in both the drums and vocal line... I like in the pre-chorus rhythm, like it kinda leans on itself and you can't help but move forward with it. It was just one of those songs which immediately stuck in my head and was singing along just after one listening: "Your name, your name, sounds too good next to mine" how can you not sing along with lyrics like that?! Hunter has not disappointed me and this new album Storyline is on my to buy list (whenever is comes out in the UK!)
