I have always been a sucker for a piano ballad so when I noticed this video was shot in black and white, I knew this was something I couldn't ignore... It ticked all the boxes before I even listened to it! The piano back-up is extremely simple however, I think that's the point, because the full attention is on Demi and her incredible voice and the meaning of the lyrics. I genuinely like the song. I love it when she hits those belty notes, in that signature way she does, so along with the piano, the black and white video and the heart-felt lonely lyrics, the perfect ballad is created. I find myself longing for these kind of songs these days... I'm kinda bored of the dance-retro songs which are dominating the British charts at the moment and I find that In Case is a way for me to escape that. I think this video also reminded me of Demi's talent. On attempting to sing along with her in the chorus, I quickly remembered how well she can sing and how much I've still got to learn. Give this song a listen... It's not showing anything new but it's just so easy to listen too and isn't that what music should be about anyway? About enjoying what you're listening too? Well, I enjoyed this and I think you will too!
