It's no secret on this blog that I love country music, especially country/pop crossover (it's the best genre of music in the world, okay?) so when I first heard Danielle Bradbery, her sound immediately hinted toward Taylor Swift (my favourite artist to ever exist.) so you can imagine, I kept my eyes peeled for what music she would produce. Young in America is exactly what I had imagined and yet, it still caught me from it's start until the end, refusing to let me go. It's catchy, has that strong-dancy-happy rhythm that only country music seems to create so successfully, overly positive lyrics and of course, Danielle providing soft but certain vocals. I partically like the chorus. The "Woah-oh, woah-oh" is so easy to sing along with, by the second chorus I was singing along! I always love these country/pop songs because they just allude straight to the summer and I imagine myself in a convertible in the sun, driving down a highway with my hair blowing in the wind (cheesy, eh?) or at least, go outside and enjoy the day. I am very excited for what this girl does next and I hope her music is released in the UK because, if it is, i'll be buying her album! At some point in the near future (I hope!) I will go to America and I promise you, this song will be on the playlist!
