Light Me Up;

I fell in love with this song after just one listening (which is rare, trust me). Birdy's voice is incredible (as always) yet we see a different tone to it compared to her first album. She usually coaxed around the highest notes, letting her voice float into them yet in this track, she punches the top notes and throws them into the listeners ears. Light Me Up is super catchy and the chorus just makes you wanna clap and sing along. I love the feel of the song; it's not an overly obvious pop song as it changes textures with the chorus being full and the verses following her light voice. I thought the video was super cute, I love the use of the colours exaggerating the "light" mentioned in the title. Good one Birdy, I love this!
