Swim Deep: She Changes the Weather

She Changes the Weather;

Swim Deep's album Where the Heaven are We is one of my favourite albums of late. It was released back in August and from the first time I listened to it I fell in love. In their short career Swim Deep have already played with the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Bastille and Mystery Jets. She Changes the Weather is my favourite song on the album as I find the lyrics so romantic and beautiful. 'She changes the weather in my world, seems like its never getting cold'; are particularly powerful to me as the singer is showing just how deep his love must be if it has the strength to change something as mighty as the weather. The track starts with a piano solo at the beginning which is repeated throughout. Gradually instruments are added creating mini climax's until the vocals begin. I find the very faint voices at the beginning of the song really interesting as they sound almost like echoes. I found that the instrumental intro is perfect for contemporary dancing and that the climax at 3.30 is phenomenal. I'd recommend Swim Deep's album to anyone who is interested in indie music with a hipster feel.
