I was kinda late with Katy's new album... Prism is promised to provide new sounds and I have to admit, Unconditionally is different to the typical Perry track. It's a lot more striped back and less 'bubblegum pop' such as a previous Perry track like 'California Girls'. The drums and the beat give it a distant and ambiguous feel, stressing the point that love takes control over you rather than you of it. The chorus is powerful and Perry belts, showing the forcefulness of love. I love love love the video; I think it's really beautiful and portrays the feel of the song wonderfully. The track is super catchy and i've had it on repeat. Well done Katy! I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of Prism!
