Karmin: Acapella

Acapella;

This track isn't new but I don't where i've been because i've only just found it... I know this is very different to what I usually write about but Acapella  has an awesome video and the lyrics are amazing! They're so funny and super clever; I love 'gluten free but all that I got was bread.'  and the play on the word 'acapella' because this track is about ditching bad boyfriends and being single. In fact, most of the lyrics wordpaint, meaning they actually do what is suggested i.e. Amy (half of Karmin) actually sings acapella and then goes into falsetto when she sings about being in 'falsetto'. She has an amazing voice and her rapping makes the track even more catchy. I love Nick's (the other half!) harmonies and low bits; they thicken the texture and exaggerate the playfulness of the song. I just think it's fantastic. It's catchy and clever; what else could you want?
I also love their acoustic cover of it!
