The Wire;
As as kind-of-ish-feminist (woo!) I love female bands and promote those which provide a positive message for my sex. The video for The Wire caught my attention as much as the song... It's nice to see the stereotypical 'break-up' reversed. You always see the girl crying and distressing so to see the male taking the split the hardest is, actually, funny and enlightening. The song has many country influences in melody and instrumentation with some pop elements, with the catchy back beat. HAIM's sound is light but thorough and I encourage anyone wanting some pop/country crossover to give them a listen!
