Ariana Grande & Nathan Sykes: Almost is Never Enough

Almost is Never Enough;

I was incredibly surprised when I first heard this... I am fan of both Ariana and Nathan but didn't expect them to produce this kind of track... They usually stick within the r&b/pop genre but this is different. The piano backing is extremely and impressively jazzy, making the melody and lyrics more romantic in the way Jazz is able to do so. Both vocals are flawless. No, I am not a fan of the over use of melisma but both singers can do it properly and in a way that makes it pleasant to the ear rather than irritating. The song is for the film 'City of Bones' and I, never having read the books, wasn't interested in seeing it.. Well, I now am! I do love a bit of romance... I'm still in awe of this song. Sorry, I can't even write properly.
