I've only just realised how awesome playlists are. I mean, yes, that sounds kind of stupid because it's something we have all done since iTunes allowed you to first start making the lists and you could drag and drop whatever you wanted from your library to make the most awesome party playlist (or in my case, a list dedicated just to Taylor Swift's greatest love ballads).
However, recently I found myself getting bored on my morning commute listening to the same chart music or my favourite albums over and over. As I like to read books on my journey and I have a 20 minute walk either side of the train ride, I found that a certain playlist with a certain sound or mood was the best soundtrack to my life. This could be my empowering list (a list of dark but bassey tracks that create the perfect atmosphere to follow a 'Hunger Games' meets 'Divergent' style of story. Think Banks or Ellie Goulding's second album), my chill playlist (soft synth pop tracks which float over poetic prose in which the main story line follows two young characters falling into the deepest love. Think LANY's Someone Else or Wet's 'Deadwater') or lastly my favourite playlist 'summer BBQ' which ultimately makes me think of better times and road trips (think of Sam Bruno's 'Search Party' which featured in the Paper Towns movie or 'High Society' by Betty Who).
So, I thought I would share my playlists with the hope I will continue to make more.
So here is my first playlist I ever made:
ACOUSTIC LOVES
which was made purely for those long car journey
or a quiet afternoon in the office at work.
these songs just seem to be the best companion when you don't want to talk much.
here are 100 songs to enjoy!
this has taken me over a year to make so it's a bit of a random mix!
had to load a picture of my own so this is some trees in yosemite
feels acoustically right?
