I've been a massive Scouting For Girls fan for years... They were the first concert I ever went too back in 2007 and i've seen many times since. Their music has always had a place in heart because it's the best of classic pop, which is the veins and blood in my musical mind. Their third album The Heart Between Us got less publicity than the others, however Scouting For Girls never fail to produce brilliant catchy pop tracks for a summer afternoon. Downtempo is my favourite from the album and as the weather has been randomly summery these past few weeks, i've found myself searching for them on my iTunes, for they are the perfect summer soundtrack. Downtempo is a great feel good song, with lines like "We'll stick two fingers up, turn around and carry on" you can't help but feel inspired to carry on and dream of summer, because it will eventually come (even in the UK!). If you want a great catchy pop song to full in love instantly and blast with the windows open, this is the one.
