As a fan of country music, I had heard about Hunter Hayes before, and obviously the genius that is Jason Mraz however, over hear in the UK, up and coming new country singers are hardly ever noticed... However, as a fan of Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes was a name I was starting to here more and more. Then the other day, I was watching the American Music Awards, and he was nominated for Best Country Male and Everybody's Got Somebody But Me was played and, as a country fan, I loved it almost instantly... The guitar riff was playful in an innocent sort of way and I just love the coaxing, southern male tone that Hunter provides, which is classic for a great country track. Then Jason comes in, with his softer but still coaxing vocals and the two work together to make something that sounds great! I just instantly knew this would be a song i'd have on repeat. The melody is syncopated and there are drums, so the song is always driving forward, so you will find yourself tapping along to the beat. The rhythm is super playful too, giving it that bit more of a country feel. I liked the lyrics to the song too and the video made me giggle! If you're looking for a great little country track, give this a listen! Literally, I think i'm a little in love with Hunter now :3
