Agnes Obel knows Ludovico Einaudi (minimalistic piano king) and her music is similar to his in that it's very light and focuses more on the overall tone and sound of the track opposed to direct melodies; all the instruments flow within each other and move together to create a very interesting sound, almost hypnotic. Obel's harmony in her pieces including The Curse is very interesting. It isn't as simple as a few chords; the listeners are left in a kind of daze as we move with the music and held with it as it refuses to resolve. Her voice is chilling but nice to the ear... I was extremely impressed by her musicality. This girl knows what she is doing; being classically trained means you get the knowledge behind the music instead of just hearing what it sounds like. She is quite popular in her genre... Check out some of her other songs including 'Riverside'
